Find Your Tribe
Once you join the blogging world you will hear one thing over and over again – Find Your Tribe. This is basically finding the support that’s within the community. And let me tell you, it’s amazing to see and converse with so many absolutely amazing women! In the ‘real’ world, it’s not always like this with women. There’s usually more attention paid to the gossip, judgement and nastiness that runs rampant in some circles. Thankfully, that is something I have never seen while writing. Yes, the outside comments can be nasty at times – but fellow bloggers and writers are 100% on board with lifting each other up! This is true with the bloggers I’ve met through this personal site of mine and the writing teams at both Psych Central and Her View From Home. They each have their own flavor – professional vs informal – but both contain people who will offer advice, lend assistance and promote your work. As a fellow HVFH writer recently said – There’s enough audience to go around! There’s no competition!
So while I may have started to write and blog for professional and personal reasons, these people around me – my tribe – is what keeps me going.
Here are just four lovely fellow mom bloggers that make up this awesome community. Check them out!
